Focus group

Purpose: the focus group was conducted in order to get a a view of the show from a youth perspective and treat the problematic of rejuvenating the audience .

=> Composed of 4 male and 4 female
=> All of them more or less regular viewers of the show

Propositions: 


Ø  Stade 2 needs to promote the creation of blogs about the program
o   The impact of blogs on youth will attract a younger audience

Ø  Create a website for the TV show
o   A web page only available on France 2’s website

ð  Not relevant to the reputation and longevity of the show.

o   The sports news are not processed in real time.
Ø  Stade 2 should follow the development of emerging sports and their practitioners.
o   For example, roller or skating is a sport in which Stade 2 should pay more attention.
Ø  The show must turn its work in favor of young people.
o   Find innovative solutions and implement them in order to sustain the new objectives

Innovations that could be implemented by Stade 2

Allow athletes to perform their own interviews 
New concept that some magazines offer. This helps establish a relationship between the viewer and the athlete. Life and personality of the sportsman arouse the curiosity of the youngest. Athletic performance is not the only information to be processed.
Show local initiatives
Local initiatives are generally directed towards young people. They show the educational values can be inculcated through sports. For example, talking about youth might attract a younger audience.
Stories about young athletes
Monitoring of young professional athletes can create enthusiasm and zeal of the younger through a process of identification. In general, young people like to follow the evolution of performance and career young athletes.
